Who am I?
Passionate since always about the human sciences, the other, their emotional and functional workings, life has ultimately projected me into my own encounter…
Following the attainment of a higher diploma in commerce with a focus on economics as well as a second in the health and social sector, I worked for nearly 30 years as a bootfitter (sports shoe fitting) in the family sports shop. In parallel, I was a member of the municipal legislative council for 20 years, as well as president of the merchants of Verbier during the same period.
After 20 years of various courses in orthopaedics, making orthotic insoles and equipment adaptation, I transitioned to posturology (the study of posture) and then to neurotherapy (manual practice aimed at correcting the central nervous system).
It has now been nearly 10 years since I began studying all these interactions of the nervous system on physical, emotional, and energetic levels… I never thought I would say this about my life, but as I love to repeat : “I believe in nothing but remain open to everything!”.
In the meantime, as announced, life has offered me a few surprises…
In 1999, at 22 years old, while I was a canyoning guide, following a storm our outing turned into a tragedy. 21 people died in a wave of clear water, 18 clients and 3 guides… I learned in a few moments that life can change from one moment to the next. A kind of survivor's complex then set in… Why them and not me ?
In 2012, a difficult morning… 1 week later we discover that I had a double cerebral embolism. Bam ! A good wake-up call, without taking risks, just a morning like that…
Not to mention 3 surgeries on the same anterior cruciate ligament (skiing, skating, full contact), a displaced fracture of the radius and ulna (while sledging), a fragmented, displaced and unstable fracture of the pelvis (from falling down the stairs).
In short ! I am starting to have a good range of experiences that allows me to better understand and comprehend the needs of my patients.
After 5 years of clinical practice in a practice, I am also keen to share this very effective and easily applicable approach.
